Connect Your Bank

This is where the magic happens! Once you connect your accounts, you'll see your complete financial picture in one place.

What You Can Connect

We support over 12,000 financial institutions:

  • Banks — Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and thousands more
  • Credit Cards — Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover
  • Investments — Fidelity, Vanguard, Robinhood, Schwab
  • Loans — Mortgages, auto loans, student loans
  • Crypto — Coinbase, Kraken, Gemini

How to Connect

1

Go to Accounts

Click Accounts in the menu, then tap Connect Account.

2

Find Your Bank

Search for your bank by name. If you don't see it, try searching for the full official name.

3

Log In Securely

You'll be redirected to your bank's official login page. Enter your credentials there — we never see them.

4

Select Accounts

Choose which accounts you want to connect. You can connect all of them or just specific ones.

5

Done!

Your accounts will sync in about a minute. You'll see your balances and recent transactions right away.

"Is This Safe?"

We get this question a lot, and the answer is yes, absolutely. Here's why:

🔒 We Never See Your Password

When you log in to your bank, you're on your bank's actual website. Your credentials go directly to them, not to us. We only receive a secure token that lets us view (not change) your account info.

What We CAN Do

  • ✅ See your account balances
  • ✅ See your transaction history
  • ✅ See account names and types

What We CAN'T Do

  • ❌ Move your money
  • ❌ Make payments or transfers
  • ❌ Change any account settings
  • ❌ See your login credentials

We partner with Stripe and Plaid — the same companies used by Venmo, Robinhood, and thousands of other apps. They're trusted by millions of people.

Keeping Things Updated

Your accounts sync automatically every few hours. If you ever need fresh data, just tap the refresh button (↻) on any account.

Sometimes your bank will ask you to log in again for security. When this happens:

  1. You'll see a yellow "Attention Needed" badge
  2. Click on the account
  3. Log in again to reconnect

This is normal! Banks do this periodically to make sure it's really you.

Troubleshooting

Can't find my bank?
Try searching for the full official name. If it's still not there, email us and we'll work on adding it.

Connection keeps failing?
Try these steps:

  1. Make sure you're using the correct login (some banks have separate logins for their app vs. website)
  2. Temporarily disable VPN or ad blockers
  3. Try a different browser
  4. Wait 15 minutes and try again

Multi-factor authentication issues?
If your bank sends a code to your phone or email, make sure to complete that step. The connection won't work without it.
