Managing Accounts
Checking Account Status
Each account shows a status:
- 🟢 Connected — Working normally
- 🟡 Attention Needed — Needs re-authentication
- 🔴 Error — Something went wrong
Refreshing Data
Accounts sync automatically every few hours. To refresh manually:
- Go to the account
- Click the refresh icon (↻)
- Wait a moment for new data
Editing Account Details
You can customize:
- Nickname — Give it a friendly name like "Bills Account"
- Visibility — Hide from dashboard if desired
Disconnecting
To remove an account:
- Go to Accounts
- Click the account
- Select Disconnect
Disconnecting removes all data for that account from Ant Finance. This can't be undone.
Re-Authentication
Banks periodically require you to log in again for security. This is normal!
When it happens:
- You'll see a yellow "Attention Needed" badge
- Click the account
- Log in to your bank again
- You're all set
This usually happens every few weeks to few months, depending on your bank.
Tips
The more accounts you connect, the better your financial picture. Even small accounts matter for an accurate net worth.
Take a minute each week to make sure all accounts show 🟢 Connected. Fix any that need attention.
